I rarely post on something that is only loosely investing related, but this will be one of those days. In the general sense, RSS Feeds are investing related since if you are here reading this post you are likely trying to learn more about the fundamentals of investing. The basic point of this post is to make you more aware of exactly what an RSS Feed does and how it benefits you.![]()
RSS Feeds were setup with the goal of helping users be able to find information from their favorite blogs or websites more efficiently, while also helping the publisher get more repeat traffic. RSS actually stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's quite fitting since RSS Feeds certainly make things more simple for everyone involved.
In order to subscribe to an RSS Feed you need to use an RSS Feed reader. Some of the most popular ones on the net are:
I personally use Google Reader, but all of these are very user-friendly. You simply use this service to signup for the feeds that you wish to view on a regular basis. When you next use the service it will show you all the activity from that particular blog or website since you last visited. This is a tremendous way to be able to quickly view all the recent posts at your favorite blog and decide which ones you should take time to read. While I would love everyone to read every post made at GrowYourFunds I understand that everyone has a busy life and even the most avid readers have to miss a post every once in a while! It's ok!
I encourage you if haven't already done so to start taking advantage of RSS. The number one benefit of RSS is the ability to save time while still gaining knowledge in important areas like investing.
If you haven't already signed up for the RSS Feed here at GrowYourFunds please do so by clicking here.
