Use the IRS Rebate Calculator to determine your tax rebate amount

One of the most popular posts on GrowYourFunds in the last few month's was the post on the tax rebate plan of 2008. As one would expect, everyone wants to know just how much they are going to be receiving when the checks come in the mail later this year. Well now the IRS has provided us with a very useful tool so that we can know ahead of time just how much that check will be. cash.jpg

Head on over to the IRS Economic Stimulus Payment Calculator site. As it says on the site you will need your 2007 tax forms to input the necessary information. It generally takes only around five minutes, so long as you have the information necessary for the calculator to give you the estimate. It is important to note that this calculation is an estimate and is not a set in stone amount of how much you will receive. Having said that I believe in the vast majority of the cases the amount should match what you end up receiving. It seems it is more of a disclaimer in case someone does receive an incorrect amount than anything else.

So there you have it, you no longer have a reason to wonder how much that check will be. The check amount is right there for your finding, so check it out! The rebates will be here before you know it, so knowing just how much you will get will help you plan ahead. Remember, knowledge is power and with this resource you can get ahead of the game.
