Today and tomorrow mark the first round games, which are two of the most popular sporting days of the entire year.

So you wonder, what kind of companies could benefit from March Madness? I will look at four that are in position to benefit nicely.
Four Companies that could benefit from March Madness
- CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS) This is the most obvious choice, since CBS has the most riding on the viewership of March Madness on its network. Even this afternoon there is very positive news out regarding CBS and its huge MMOD campaign.
- Akamai Technologies (Nasdaq:AKAM) With the huge growth on MMOD (March Madness on Demand) viewership online, someone has to be benefiting nicely, and that someone should be Akamai. Akamai provides the content that allows CBS to stream all these games live on the web and the more that viewership grows, the more Akamai should benefit.
- Buffalo Wild Wings (Nasdaq:BWLD) One of the most popular sports bars in the country, and this place is always hopping for March Madness. The better the matchups later in the tournament, the more BW3's will benefit from the madness. More people at the restaraunt to socialize and watch basketball equals more income to BWLD's bottom line.
- Anheuser-Busch (NYSE:BUD) This one is the least direct beneficiary, but it certainly can be helped nicely. Have you ever watched March Madness games on television? Budweiser ads frequent these games, and as viewership increases so does the payoff to Anheuser-Busch.
