
Earnings season is beginning to wind down, but there are still several companies of note reporting this coming week. This will be the final week of this earnings season that GrowYourFunds will have a weekly earnings preview, but we will pick back up on the earnings preview posts during the next earnings season. Let's take a look at a quick summary of the companies reporting this week that may make some headlines.![]()
Monday Nov. 12th
- The Blackstone Group (NYSE:BX) This alternative asset manager is highly scrutinized across the street and given the problems with credit markets, traders will certainly have a close eye on these earnings.
Tuesday Nov. 13th
- Excel Maritime Carriers (NYSE:EXM) One of the hottest momentum stocks out there will, EXM will report Tuesday after the close and investors certainly are looking for something very positive.
- The Home Depot (NYSE:HD) Home Depot is a stock that has performed terribly for quite some time now. The stock is actually lower now than it was four years ago. The company is expected to report 61 cents, but investors are bracing for the possibility of further warnings.
- Wal-Mart Stores (NYSE:WMT) Wal-Mart is the largest retailer there is, and retailing is very out of favor with investors right now so all eyes will be on this report. The company will report before the bell Tuesday.
Wednesday Nov. 14th
- Macy's (NYSE:M) Macy's is another retailer that has been hit hard of late, currently trading just cents above its 52 week low. The bar is set low for Macy's, with average expectations of just 8 cents per share for the quarter.
- Network Appliance (Nasdaq:NTAP) This data management company will be watched even more closely than normal after recent tech earnings problems.
- PetSmart (Nasdaq:PETM) PetSmart is a specialty retailer that is currently at a 52 week low. It will be interesting to see if this pets retailer sees the same economic problems other retailers have been seeing.
Thursday Nov. 15th
- Kohl's Corporation (NYSE:KSS) Are you seeing a pattern yet? This is a huge week of earnings for retailers. Kohl's has been one of the hardest hit in this space, losing over 30% of its value in the past four months. Investors will be tuned in to hear about the company's future outlook even more than past results.
- Starbucks (Nasdaq:SBUX) Starbucks reports earnings Thursday after the close. Starbucks is looking to regain that swagger that it had for so long as a darling of wall street. It is expected to earn 21 cents per share.
- Autodesk (Nasdaq:ADSK) Autodesk is a software and design company that has performed quite well of late. The company has been a high grower and investors have bid up the stock nicely in recent months.
AnnTaylor Stores (NYSE:ANN) AnnTaylor will be the final retailer to report this week. The company is expected to bring in 61 cents per share and will report Friday before the opening bell.
