
While last week was by number the busiest week of corporate earnings reports, this week is a close second. There is a large number of reports coming out during the upcoming week which could do a lot to move the markets.![]()
Monday October 29
- Kellogg Company (NYSE:K) Analysts are expecting 73 cents per on $2.99 billion in revenues, but Kellogg did not provide any guidance for this quarter so this number is more guesswork than normal.
- Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) Verizon hopes momentum in the wireless space will continue to drive its earnings growth. The company is expected to earn 62 cents per share.
Tuesday October 30
- Colgate Palmolive Company (NYSE:CL) CL will report its earnings before the bell on Tuesday. The company just hit a 52 week high in the past week, so investors are likely looking for some earnings momentum.
- Proctor and Gamble Company (NYSE:PG) P&G will report on Tuesday and is expected to earn 89 cents per share for the quarter. The stock has recently spiked higher after a long period of hovering around $63 per share.
- Wynn Resorts Limited (Nasdaq:WYNN) Wynn will report earnings Tuesday and expectations are clearly very high for the company. Wynn and its casino resort peers have ran higher in the last 6 months, as they have become a play on the growth of China.
Wednesday October 31
- Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:ABX) Barrick reports Wednesday after the closing bell. The company has been in the news a lot lately as the price of gold has been soaring, bringing this stock along with it.
- GlobalSantaFe Corporation (NYSE:GSF) This deepwater driller will report Wednesday afternoon. Analysts are expecting a robust $1.90 per share for the quarter.
- Amdocs Limited (NYSE:DOX) Amdocs reports Wednesday and analysts are estimating the company will bring in 53 cents per share. The stock has not performed well of late, so investors appear to be down on the company's prospects right now.
Thursday November 1
- CVS Caremark Corporation (NYSE:CVS) CVS will be closely watched after its close competitor Walgreen (NYSE:WAG) warned of sharply lower profits a few weeks ago. CVS has said that they will be able to meet estimates for the quarter and the year, but investors will be closely watching for any potential weakness.
- ExxonMobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) ExxonMobil reports on Thursday and since it is the largest oil company in the world, investors will be watching very closely. With oil prices now above $90 a barrel expectations are very high for XOM.
- Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE:MRO) Another huge oil company MRO will also report on Thursday. The stock of MRO has not performed quite as well as most big oil companies, so it will be interesting to see how it fares Thursday.
- Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) Sprint Nextel will report Thursday before the opening bell. Analysts are predicting 22 cents per share.
- Tesoro Corporation (NYSE:TSO) TSO was in the news Friday because legendary investor Kirk Kerkorian made a $1.4 billion offer for 16% of Tesoro shares. The company is expected to report 85 cents per share Thursday.
Friday November 2
- Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE:BAM) This global asset manager is expected to bring in 23 cents per share on Friday.
- The Washington Post Company (NYSE:WPO) This media and education company is expected to bring in $6.68 per share on Friday.
This week of earnings will certainly affect the markets in one way or another, so stay tuned throughout the week and I will post reviews of market moving earnings reports.
