Fossett, 63, has cheated death time and time again in his successful pursuits of new aviation records, has been reported missing and teams are now searching for him. Fossett took off Monday morning from a private airstrip i
n Nevada in a single-engine plane at 8:45 am and was scheduled to return by noon, but did not return. There are currently 13 teams searching for Mr. Fossett.
Fossett has been extremely successful in the securities industry, and actually founded his own securities firm, Marathon Securities in Chicago. Fossett has become a millionaire through his successful work in the commodity brokerage industry. In recent years Fossett has retired from the commodities business and has focused solely on his world adventures and paving new paths in aviation history.
