Making Connections With Madison Who's Who

Sponsored Review

There are many who believe the old adage, “It’s not what you know but who you know” and that the most important part of being a successful business person is making the right connections with the right people. In most cases, it is really a little bit of both who you know and what you know. While skills can be taught and learned, connections are made by forging relationships with the right people.

I got a call from Madison whoswho to become a member based on my profile. Can I talk to an existing member in India to guide me onthe same to help me make the decision.

I received the invitation to be in the Madison Who's Who, and I finally accepted their two-year $300 membership. I think I purchased the membership just to get the sales staff off my back. I figure maybe at least my name would be out there, and it would be good for future business. Boy, what a mistake. Those scam artists called me today asking where to send my book. Then they said how I would like to pay the $190. I said I thought that was included in the membership. They said no, so I told them to forget the book. They then tried to tell me that was part of my membership agreement to buy the book. I told them I didn't see anything in my membership saying that I would have to purchase an overpriced book, so I'm not. They said they would put a mark on my file. Oh my gosh... does that mean I have to go to the Madison Who's Who principal's office. I wish I just told these guys to get lost. Wait a minute. I did. I guess I had to threaten them to stop calling me at work. I'll make sure I don't fall for that trap again.

THIS IS A SCAM. THEY WILL TRY AND SELL THIS TO ANYONE WITH A CHECKING ACCOUNT. YOU CAN NETWORK BETTER, GET MORE CONTACTS, AND JOB OFFERS BY READING THE STUPID NEWSPAPER, WHICH COSTS 50 CENTS A DAY.
