Devoted to understanding the basics and fundamentals of investing

Bob writes about a Trading Tribe.  If I understand his comment, he is seeking an Arthurian society of those involved in trading, a round table if you will.  While investing is inevitably about risk and return, the Tribe would focus on relationships.  Initiation into the Tribe would consist of meetings with Tribal members and then a training program.

The intent would be to instill the Tribal ethos into the new member including ethics, compliance, due diligence and the techniques of managing money.  The Tribe acts as a clearing community with experts in all the facets needed to be excel in the world of investing sharing their support and reinforcing the inter-Tribal relationships.  Newbees would have no need to wander in the fog of jargon and greed.  Risk would relate to return, not to fear of being defrauded.  All could profit from the best ideas of the group.

My hope is that this blog can serve as the forum for the development of such a Tribe.  I invite all readers to share their expertise and experience so that all can grow and learn.  Perhaps we can develop relationships based on respect and interest in a common theme.   Anyone care to join the quest?
