Today is not the day, but one day I will write about how you can use the tax code to make charitable donations that help you while they help others. In the meantime, while you still have the glow of your holiday meal, take a few minutes and do some good in the world. You will feel even better than you did after dessert.
Happy holidays,
Larry

Just DO NOT CONTRIBUTE ANY MONEY to the Red Cross. Any not-for-profit organization which calls itself a charity and then pays its CEO over $500,000 in salary is wasting its contributors money on unnecessary and excessive administrative expense. Besides, ever since World War II ended, in any subsequent global disaster, those guys have always been a day late and a dollar short. They lag the humanitarian effort to provide vitally needed supplies and human as well as financial assistance, when it is really required on a timely basis, well-behind LDS and Catholic relief organizations, for instance, which are typically the first responders to any disaster scene.
Did you know that?
